Step by step Protect peach trees • It surprises folk when I tell them that you can grow peaches in the UK – and this tree gives me over 200 of them, every summer. One essential task, however, is to protect the trees not from the cold (they’re fully hardy) but from a destructive fungus called peach leaf curl. If affected, the tree’s vigour and cropping potential is severely stunted. No thanks!
