THE HONOLULU STRANGLER

ebook

Since the tourism boom of the 1950s, the Hawaiian Islands have attracted tourists with their relaxed and laid-back lifestyle. From the early days, honeymooners and vacationers arrived in droves, and smiling hula dancers greeted the flower arrangement.
Hawaii consists of 132 islands with a total area of six and a half thousand square kilometers. The state capital Honolulu and the famous Waikiki Beach are located on the island of Oahu. It has a major port, military and naval bases, and Pearl Harbor. In 1985, Oahu saw a huge exodus of young adults, often for the military or navy, and also due to a huge boom in telecommunications companies expanding into Hawaii. The key years of this decade were the unusual period between the recession of the early 80s and the stock market crash of 87 and the dark years that followed.
