      Gr 4-6-Rory Landon has been impatiently waiting for her very own fairy tale at Ever After School. Now, she finds herself chasing after the Pied Piper in order to rescue her kidnapped friends. Fans of the first two installments will be eager to catch up with Rory.

      Fairy-tale-character-in-training Rory and friends infiltrate another "Character's Tale" to help rescue children kidnapped by the Pied Piper. This Arctic-set Tale has more dire results and greater impact on the non-magical world than previous Tales, and information revealed near the end sets up conflict for the next installment. Bach neatly balances Rory's concerns about the Snow Queen with those about her worried real-world parents.
