There are only two requirements: you must like mystery novels, and you have to be one of his parolees seeking a second chance. Bay Area lawyer Hollis Morgan fits the bill. Wrongly convicted of her late husband's embezzlement schemes, Hollis is fighting to regain her footing in the courts. This circle of supportive new friends helps—until Jeffrey is murdered, leaving the group with a real-life whodunit.
