Since her father’s death, sixth-grader Josie has found solace in her dog, Clementine, and in her volunteer efforts at the hospital’s pediatric ward, performing skits and songs. Josie is gearing up for her favorite project—the hospital’s Christmas Festival—when she is paired up with two dissimilar classmates to save the show from being canceled. As the program comes together, the kids dispel misperceptions of each other, secrets are revealed, and new bonds are formed.
