Gabrielle works for minimum wage back home in New York City with an Ivy League degree. Raised in the inner city and knowing its trap, a better opportunity came as a blessing in disguise to work in Boston. Unfortunately, for this young African American woman, the history of racism, sexism and dirty corporate culture of underground Bean Town will bring out the worst in her.
Knowing that the demographics in Boston would be much different, Gabrielle had no choice. She only needs a chance to start her career early and pay off her student loans. However, her first day at work at the new startup proved that bias still exist. The constant stares and racial undertones from the office staff had Gabrielle on the brink of exploding, but what's in store for her at the end of the day will truly surprise you.
Gabrielle is in the ride for her life and do you think Homegirl will truly make it?
