Two feuding ranchers discover a deep connection in an old silver mine beneath their land in this romance by the New York Times bestselling author.

Now that she's completed her engineering degree, Rachel Ford Morgan is eager to prove herself to her father and four brothers who run Morgan Ranch. She gets the chance when she discovers fault lines around an abandoned silver mine at the edge of their property. But the troublesome mine is nothing compared to the cowboy who seems determined to shake up her world.
Cauy Lymond doesn't take kindly to the woman nosing around his land—especially since she's a member of the neighboring Morgan clan. Cauy is determined to keep his father's failing ranch out of their super-wealthy hands. But he soon realizes that he needs Rachel's skill—and admirable courage—to shore up the old mine that threatens both their futures. As they pour all of their blood, sweat, and secrets into saving the land, their true feelings for each other begin to surface.

This welcome addition to Pearce’s Morgan Ranch series is a holiday gift to her fans. Winter is coming to the Northern California ranch as Rachel Morgan returns, fresh out of college and eager to put her engineering degree to work. An abandoned silver mine on the Morgan property needs her skilled assessment before her family can make some decisions about its fate. Unfortunately, part of the mine is on neighboring Lymond land, and there’s been no love lost between the two clans in the past. Cauy Lymond is set on carrying on his late father’s feud with the Morgans, and he’s furious when he spots Rachel checking out the mine. The two are soon sparring over who can be the most stubborn. But even as outdoor temperatures plunge, the heat between Rachel and Cauy rises. Pearce’s fans and contemporary romance readers will want to pick this one up and read it to the end. Agent: Deidre Knight, Knight Agency.

Fans of Pearce's Morgan Ranch series and all who enjoy contemporary western romances will relish the love story about the youngest and only female Morgan sibling, Rachel. She has finished her engineering degree and plans to spend the holidays at the ranch, getting to know her birth father and the four brothers she never knew she had. Cauy Lymond inherited the neighboring ranch from his father, who never had a good word for him. It seems like a curse since it is in total disrepair, and he is still suffering emotionally and physically from an accident at the oil company for which he previously worked. Cauy is unsure of what to make of the help offered by the Morgan clan, whom his father detested. He and Rachel, who are wary of relationships, given their difficult family histories, realize that they just can't resist each other. An adopted dog, interfering family members, and a near tragedy in a silver mine bring them together in a thoroughly satisfying holiday romance.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2018, American Library Association.)
