The intersecting stories of a young woman who, in the midst of World War II in 1942, left her home in New York City at the age of 17 to travel alone by train across the country to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in pursuit of her dream to become a profession figure skater and that of a man nearing his 70th birthday, standiing in a New Jersey cemetery in 2017 making the decision to embark upon a journey to discover his roots and identity.
