      Narrator Soneela Nankani delivers an emotional yet hilarious performance of this audiobook despite some minor production flaws. Priya puts her premed dreams on pause after contracting Lyme disease. Her online friend, Brigid, has been supportive but is reluctant to share details regarding her own illness. So when Brigid suddenly goes offline, Priya steals her family's car to check on her. She certainly doesn't expect to find a werewolf in Brigid's basement--or that the werewolf might be a new version of her best friend. Much of the story is told through online chats in which emojis and file names are all read aloud, and the occasional drops in volume are slight but noticeable. Fortunately, Nankani's talent for distinct voices and perfect timing add up to a laugh-out-loud presentation of this heartwarming audiobook. A.K.R. © AudioFile 2021, Portland, Maine
