Does she even want to? Roe's debut work is a character-driven domestic fiction that is heartwarming and humorous. Narrator Emma Love's tone varies from sardonic to sympathetic, giving the listening experience a well-rounded and relatable air. The leading lady is likable, and the supporting characters are complex. This engaging narrative will resonate with anyone who has experienced the struggles that come with friendships and fitting in. VERDICT This audio will appeal to listeners seeking an amusing fish-out-of-water narrative about relationships and resilience, equal parts laughs and life lessons.
