      Someone is out to get attorney Everly Monroe, and it's up to Detective Noah Ryland to keep her and her daughter, Ainsley, safe. Since they were once lovers, Everly is at first reluctant to be in such close contact with Noah when he decides they should be under police protection. It's evident from the start, though, that they both recall the heated nights from years ago and that some things between them have not changed.
